Derbyshire Community Bank is pleased to be supporting a new savings initiative designed to help eligible Derbyshire residents build a regular savings habit and prepare for unexpected costs.

The scheme is designed to encourage continued saving for up to 18 months, helping members build a financial cushion that can be there when unexpected costs come along.
The scheme is for eligible residents living in the Derbyshire County Council area.
It is aimed at people on lower incomes who have limited or no savings and who meet the scheme’s eligibility criteria.
Derby City residents are not yet included in the scheme.
You must also join or be a member of Derbyshire Community Bank to open a Resilience Saver account.
Unexpected costs can happen to anyone, whether it’s a broken appliance, an unexpected bill or another expense you weren’t planning for.
Having even a small amount set aside can make it easier to deal with these costs without immediately needing to borrow.
Resilience Saver is about helping people take that first step and make saving part of their regular routine.
The aim isn’t just to save for three months.
By continuing to save over a longer period, members can gradually build up their own savings while potentially receiving further £25 bonuses along the way.
£5 a week might not feel like a lot, but regular saving can add up.
If you think you may be eligible for the Resilience Saver, speak to Derbyshire Community Bank to find out more about the scheme and whether you qualify.
