Celebrating Community at the Erewash Volunteer Event
We had a fantastic day at the Erewash Volunteer Celebration Event on Sunday at Long Eaton Rugby Club — a brilliant gathering of organisations, volunteers, and local families all coming together to celebrate the spirit of giving back.
One of the highlights for us was the overwhelming response to our free LifeBook giveaway. Many visitors stopped by our stall to chat, share their stories, and pick up their own LifeBook — a simple but powerful tool designed to help people organise their important life information in one place. It was heartening to hear how much local community members valued having something practical to support their wellbeing and planning.
We had great conversations throughout the day — with long-time volunteers, new supporters, and those simply curious about how they could get more involved. It was inspiring to see the enthusiasm and pride in the Erewash community, and to feel a shared commitment to helping one another thrive.
