We were really pleased to attend Derbyshire County Council’s recent staff event, and we would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Council for inviting us.
It was a fantastic opportunity to connect directly with staff, hear their questions, and share how our initiatives can support financial wellbeing. We enjoyed learning more about the challenges and priorities of council employees and discussing practical ways to help them manage their finances more effectively. The energy and interest from everyone we spoke to made it a truly rewarding day.

We had valuable conversations about the importance of safe and affordable credit options within the community, and how to signpost support where needed. It was particularly good to speak with Ben Taylor, who is doing important work to help Derbyshire residents access the support they need through the loan-sharking and affordable credit project, building strong partnerships across services to make a positive difference.
Our CEO Phil and Marketing Executive Finn enjoyed meeting with DCC staff to talk about how we can continue working together to support financial wellbeing initiatives across the county. We always value the opportunity to connect directly with the Derbyshire community.
We look forward to continued collaboration and supporting more people in taking positive steps towards improved financial wellbeing.
Loan sharks are illegal money lenders, and do affect people in our community.
